Pirate ("the bot") is a Discord bot providing reminders and light entertainment features. This policy explains what data Pirate collects and how it's used.

What we collect

• Your Discord user ID and the ID of the server/channel where a command is used
• The text content of reminders you create with /arr
• Timestamps for when reminders are set to fire
• A saved time offset (not your exact location), set via /timezone, used to make sure reminders fire at the right time for you. This is required before any reminder can be set.
• A running point count tied to your Discord user ID, used for the disco leaderboard feature
• Server-level settings (such as your chosen reminder channel) configured by server admins
• A daily count of how many times certain fun text triggers have fired in a server (not tied to any individual user), used to keep those features from being overused
• If a server chooses to hide its name on the disco leaderboard, it is assigned a permanent anonymous number in its place. This number is fixed and reused every time hidden mode is toggled back on — it never changes or gets reassigned

What we don't collect

Message content outside of what you explicitly provide to a command (e.g. your reminder text). No email addresses, IP addresses, or any information outside what Discord itself provides to bots.

How your data is used

Data is used solely to operate Pirate's features — delivering reminders on schedule and displaying the disco leaderboard. Your data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.

Data storage and retention

Data is stored in a local database on the server hosting Pirate. Reminders are automatically deleted once delivered. Disco points and saved time offsets persist until you contact us to request deletion.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting the bot owner (see below). Removing Pirate from your server does not automatically delete existing data; contact us if you'd like it removed. A server's anonymous leaderboard number persists even if the server later chooses to be fully removed from tracking; contact us if you'd like this reset as well.
